Burren Yoga Retreat

November 29th to December 1st 2024, Co.Galway.

Tara feels it is key to provide practices that focus on recovery, rest, and contemplation.

Tara O’Rourke specialises in Hatha yoga which typically begins with gentle opening stretches and focused asanas, gradually progressing to a stronger mindful practice in an exploratory manner. She has experience working with individuals of all levels and abilities, including students with knee or hip replacements, back issues, and fit individuals of all ages.
Tara excels at tailoring the practice to meet individual needs, encouraging each person to inwardly listen and practice at a pace that feels right for them. She fosters an environment of support and encourages exploration, curiosity, and the importance of not pushing into pain. While challenges are welcomed, respecting our bodies and limitations is paramount.Having practiced yoga for over 23 years, Tara has explored various styles, including Hatha, restorative, Ashtanga, Vinyasa flow and has studied the yogic wisdom texts. She believes that yoga and meditation provide a means to connect with ourselves, deeply listen inward, and embrace our true identity and purpose in life.
Initially captivated by the vigorous practice of Ashtanga, Tara has since incorporated more restorative elements into her routine while maintaining a strong Hatha practice. She completed her first teacher training course with Ciara Cronin at The Yoga Room in Dublin in 2015, followed by a 500-hour teacher training in 2018.
